 STONEHENGE

untitled-51

An ancient set of stone pillars named Stonehenge is located in England not far from London. It predates Jesus and Cesar. Archeologists assume that it is from bronze or the stone age . It is about 10 thousand years old . The pillars are set in a circle, and no one knows why. Perhaps they were designed to be used as a sacred place of ancient people. Archeologists or historians ask themselves . How people in 8000 BC could build a building like this ? This is a mystery because it is about four hundred and twenty centimeters high and it’s too heavy to carry them without trucks or any building tools . Stonehenge has a very simple structure but it’s pretty amazing when you learn about its weight , year of built , and its height. It’s very interesting.

COLISEUM

untitled-4

Coliseum is the Roman building . It was built in times when Caesar’s army was fighting Gaelic , Egyptian or British soldiers . It’s a very interesting building because in the first place it is very big and has an interesting structure like many entrances . In ancient Rome coliseum was an area where gladiators were fighting and sometimes killing each other . Coliseum also was designed to arrange sea battles . When sea battles where in coliseum , people filled the whole building with water . Romans where great builders because it had to stay without damages when fillet with water.

THE PALACE OF CULTURE AND SCIENCE

The palace of culture and science is the highest building in Poland so far . It’s two hundred and thirty three meters high . Inside there are lots of machines a few large elevators, a huge conference room and a lot more . It has also a huge clock at the top of the building . I would say that inside it looks like a high class hotel . It was built in 22nd of July in 1955. The project was drawn by Lew Rudniew – a Russian architect . Palace of Culture is surrounded by lots of green parks . There is a beautiful surrounding, the palace is awesome . And that is why every day hundreds of people are coming to visit it.

BRANDINBURGH GATE

untitled-2

Brandinburgh Gate is a very interesting building in Germany. At night the gate has a beautiful light on it . The gate is 26 meters high . Many of German coins have its miniature on one side . It’s been a symbol of freedom and peace since 3rd of October 1990. The Gate was built on 6th of August in 1791 by Carl Gotthard Langhans but later it was damaged when Germans where fighting. The reconstruction ended on 14th of December in 1957. Buildings like that were in those times indeed very hard to rebuild because of basic tools and wars.

SPRAWOZDANIE Z REALIZACJI ZADAŃ W RAMACH „TYGODNIA eTWINNING” W SZKOLE PODSTAWOWEJ Z ODDZIAŁAMI INTEGRACYJNYMI nr 5 w Gdańsku

Koordynator:  Izabela Łukaszewska
Nauczyciele wspomagający:  Justyna Zacharewicz, Agnieszka Trocha, Robert Kraik, Piotr Dudek, Joanna Dudek, Elżbieta Bożeńska

W roku szkolnym 2008/2009 nasza szkoła wzięła aktywny udział w corocznej akcji „Tydzień eTwinning” planując i realizując szereg działań poświęconych państwom Unii Europejskiej oraz programowi eTwinning. Wszystkie  zrealizowane zadania skupiły nauczycieli różnych specjalności, a swoim zasięgiem objęły  uczniów klas 4-6 szkoły podstawowej.

Tydzień eTwinning w naszej szkole został poprzedzony  niezbędnymi działaniami mającymi na celu przygotowanie nauczycieli i uczniów do przeprowadzenia poszczególnych przedsięwzięć.

W związku z czym, koordynator akcji oraz osoby wspierające organizację tygodnia eTwinning przeprowadziły następujące działania:

1. Przeprowadzenie rady szkoleniowej dla nauczycieli szkoły podstawowej mającej na celu zaprezentowanie akcji eTwinning, opracowanie harmonogramu działań, wyznaczeniu osób odpowiedzialnych za przeprowadzenie poszczególnych elementów obchodów tygodnia eTwinning.

2. Przeprowadzenie godziny wychowawczej informującej uczniów o charakterze akcji ‘Tydzień eTwinning’, zapoznanie uczniów z zaplanowanymi działaniami, omówienie zasad realizacji poszczególnych elementów tygodnia eTwinning.

·          Przeprowadzenie godziny wychowawczej, zaprezentowanie pozyskanych informacji.

Arieta Biskup – uczennica klasy 5b przywitała zgromadzonych nauczycieli i uczniów szkoły podstawowej i zaprosiła wszystkich do obejrzenia prezentacji państw.

Kolejnym elementem prezentacji był Mini Playback Show.

Zapraszamy do obejrzenia fotorelacji z tygodnia eTwinning przeprowadzonego w naszej szkole.

  FILM

It is a great pleasure to start this blog and to present our work:)

This blog is about  eTwinning project called FOUR SEASONS OF ART

The main aim of our project is to show that everyone can become an artist. We want to help children to express their feelings by art activities. We think that it would give them a chance to develop art sensitivity. Moreover, by art projects we want to make them aware of different traditions and culture. In our opinion various art activities can broaden their minds and develop their self-esteem, interests, hobbies. This project would also show that even children with special educational needs can be very good at art and find their hidden abilities.

As far as teachers are concerned, it would help us to develop creativity, look for new ideas, find new teaching techniques, exchange ideas. We want to present our products to parents and other teachers, and to involve parental help. Every year we have a charity festival and it would be a great chance to present to parents, teachers and local environment what children have prepared.

Final products:

Multimedia presentations (a cd including films, photos, children’s pieces of work) and/or an album that woud describe seasons in each country with photos of children’s works, native an English proverbs and poems written by children for each season.

Project activities:

Part 1:

  • painting competition – Four seasons of the year (children draw their favorite season of the year, 5 best drawings  are chosen and included to the final cd presentation)
  • music-art project (children will listen to Vivaldi ‘Four seasons’ and paint their emotions)
  • art additional activities – making a puppet/doll/figure of a „season” (we make a display of puppets at school, a competition is held and children chose the best puppet themselves we make a photo of a few best puppets and include it to the project cd)
  • dress design – e.g. spring dress, winter dress, etc.
  • declamation competition – poems concernig different seasons
  • cd cover contest
  • nature – seasons poem competition, children write their own poems about seasons of the year (they can do it either in native language or in English)

Part 2: (for younger students)

A video presentation

Children are supposed to make a short (about 5-7 minutes) presentation in English about their country. The aim of the presentation is to give some most important info about the country, you can show your school and some pictures of your town. You include in the video whatever you wish. If making it in English is too difficult for students you can make it in your native language but you have to give the English subtitles or English explanation.

Part 3:

I love my town J

Students are supposed to draw pictures of their town or their favorite place in the town. Teachers will have to make a photo of those drawings and send it to the project coordinator (via email).

Here are some photos  :)
