It is a great pleasure to start this blog and to present our work:)
This blog is about eTwinning project called FOUR SEASONS OF ART
The main aim of our project is to show that everyone can become an artist. We want to help children to express their feelings by art activities. We think that it would give them a chance to develop art sensitivity. Moreover, by art projects we want to make them aware of different traditions and culture. In our opinion various art activities can broaden their minds and develop their self-esteem, interests, hobbies. This project would also show that even children with special educational needs can be very good at art and find their hidden abilities.
As far as teachers are concerned, it would help us to develop creativity, look for new ideas, find new teaching techniques, exchange ideas. We want to present our products to parents and other teachers, and to involve parental help. Every year we have a charity festival and it would be a great chance to present to parents, teachers and local environment what children have prepared.
Final products:
Multimedia presentations (a cd including films, photos, children’s pieces of work) and/or an album that woud describe seasons in each country with photos of children’s works, native an English proverbs and poems written by children for each season.
Project activities:
Part 1:
Part 2: (for younger students)
A video presentation
Children are supposed to make a short (about 5-7 minutes) presentation in English about their country. The aim of the presentation is to give some most important info about the country, you can show your school and some pictures of your town. You include in the video whatever you wish. If making it in English is too difficult for students you can make it in your native language but you have to give the English subtitles or English explanation.
Part 3:
I love my town J
Students are supposed to draw pictures of their town or their favorite place in the town. Teachers will have to make a photo of those drawings and send it to the project coordinator (via email).
